Prices come from the plan

Everything that costs money is computed from the plan a member's contract points at: the day price, extra days, the base fee, room hours and the included allowances. There is no second source of prices beside it.

Three things are often confused with each other:

It appears in the contract document and is not used for computing. | | Invoice | The result, frozen. An issued invoice never changes again. |

What follows from that:

• Which plan applies depends on the date a figure describes, not on what the member “currently” has. During a scheduled change two contracts sit side by side. See Which contract applies.
• You preserve an old price by leaving the member on the old plan, not by relying on the snapshot.
• If you want to change prices without touching existing members, create a second plan and move whoever you want to move. See Change a plan members are on.
• An empty price field means 0 €. There is no silent fallback to a default amount, neither from an earlier setting nor from a template.
