Included room hours

What a room booking costs is written in the member's plan. The plan decides the pool of included hours and the hourly rate for everything beyond it. The calculation happens in one place on the server, so the preview before booking shows the same amount the invoice states later.

Two models for the pool:

What follows from that:

• The pool is consumed chronologically. The earliest booking of the month eats into it first. That is why it does not depend on the order things get invoiced in which booking was inside the allowance.
• Once the pool is empty, every further hour costs the plan's hourly rate. If no hourly rate is set on the plan, the booking costs nothing. There is no fallback to a preset price.
• The preview shows the extra cost of exactly this booking. It calculates the difference between "all bookings with this one" and "all bookings without it", so the number is correct wherever in the month the booking sits.
• A date in a series costs what a single booking on that day costs. The series preview shows the total at today's plan and the cost per month.
• Prices are gross prices. The tax rate comes from your space, not from the plan. See Gross price.
• Room costs land on the usage invoice, not on the membership invoice. See Three documents per month.

Included room hours and included desk days are two separate allowances. A desk day only counts when there is a desk reservation on that day.
