Plans & prices
Problem

A member still pays the old price

What is charged is the plan the contract points at. Usually the member is still on the old plan, or the invoice had already been issued.

What you see

You changed a price and a member is still billed at the old amount.

Why

What is charged always comes from the plan the member's contract points at. Three cases explain nearly every difference:

  • The member is on a different plan. If you created a second plan for the new conditions, existing members stay on the old one until you move them.
  • The member has an individual price. A negotiated price is a separate, non-public variant. It carries the same display name as the public plan and is untouched by a change to that plan.
  • The invoice had already been issued. An issued invoice never changes again. The membership invoice goes out in advance for the coming month, so your change lands on the next one.

What you can do

  1. Open the member record and check which plan they hold and whether a change is scheduled.
  2. If it shows the old plan, schedule the change. It applies on the 1st of the following month. See Change a member's plan.
  3. If it shows an individual price, adjust it in the member record. See Set an individual price.
  4. If the invoice has already been issued, do not correct it after the fact. Check the next one instead.
  5. If a scheduled change has already taken effect, check which date the figure in question describes. See Which contract applies.

If that is not enough
