Booking window

The booking window is the number of days your space makes bookable in advance. It counts from today and includes the last day. You set it per space; the preset value can be changed, and the apps show the member the last bookable date in the date strip.

One window, four effects:

What matters about it:

• The server checks the window, not just the app. An older device or an outside client cannot get around it.
• Every date of a series is written when the series is created. Because a series cannot exceed the window, nothing has to grow later. Whoever wants to book further extends the series. Fourteen days before the last date an email is a reminder to do so.
• An end date that does not fit the window is refused, not silently shortened.
• There is no mechanism in the software against holding many dates. There is no quota of open reservations and no cancellation fee. You see the situation in the day plan and the booking list and can cancel any booking and any series.
