Allow questions on the space page
With the switch “Questions on your space page”, your space page shows “Ask …” at the bottom right. Visitors write to you there without an account, and the questions arrive in your inbox.
Whoever looks at your space page can ask you a question there, for example whether a fixed desk is available. The window opens through the button Ask with your space's name at the bottom right, also on your own domain. Plans, rooms and the day ticket then show Ask about this; the offer is attached to the question.
Before you start: your space page must be public. Without a public page the switch cannot be turned on.
- Open Setup, then in Presence the row Public page. The way is the same in the app and on the web.
- Turn on the switch Questions on your space page. It takes effect right away.
A question arrives in your inbox, next to your members' messages, marked Prospect · space page. You answer there just like a member's message, see Answer messages from members.
What applies here
- The setup list suggests Allow questions on your space page while the page is public and the switch is off. The suggestion does not count as a task and can be hidden.
- The prospect sees your answer in the window as your first name and the name of the space. If they have left the page and gave an email address, the answer goes by email after two minutes, in your space's name via Selfdesk. If they reply to that email, it goes to the email address from your legal details.
- Without an email address the answer waits in the window until the prospect opens the page again.
- Questions from the space page have no In progress and cannot be forwarded to Selfdesk. Their state is open, answered or done.
- If the prospect later creates an account with the same confirmed email address and applies for a plan in your space, the inbox shows their name at the conversation.
- If you switch questions off, the button disappears from the page. Conversations already started stay in the inbox and can still be answered.
- A new question arrives as a notification on your phone. If it stays unread for 15 minutes, a summary email follows. You can turn this off in the notifications under Questions from your space page.
- A conversation is deleted 180 days after the last message. What is stored is described in your privacy information on the space page.
