Messages to your space

The button on Home lets you write to the people who run your space. They answer in the app.

At the bottom right of Home sits a round button with a speech bubble. It lets you write to your space, for example about an invoice, a booking, a door, a payment, your plan, your credit or a kiosk purchase. The number on the button counts the conversations with a reply or message you have not read yet.

Write a message

  1. On Home, tap the button at the bottom right.
  2. Choose what it is about. For a booking, an invoice, a payment, a door, your plan, your credit or the kiosk, Selfdesk suggests the matching entries, with the newest already chosen. Payment and Credit only appear when there is something: an open or failed payment from the last 60 days, or a credit.
  3. Write your question and tap Send.

Ask right where the thing is

An invoice has Question about this invoice, the menu of a booking has Question about this booking (not for series dates), and the doors have Not working? Write to followed by the name of your space. A failed or open payment has Question about this payment (in the notice, in the app also in the payment history), the membership page has Question about your plan and Question about your credit, a kiosk receipt has Question about a purchase. The reference is then already set; for credit and on the receipt the newest entry is chosen. If there is a conversation about it already, 1 conversation and its state appear below.

What applies here

  • Everyone who manages your space reads what you write. Selfdesk does not read along.
  • If the app does something wrong, your space can forward the case to Selfdesk. A line in the conversation then says so. Selfdesk only sees what your space sends along, and you without the name and email address from your account. Selfdesk replies to your space, which decides what to tell you.
  • Sent along lists what goes with your message: your plan and, for a problem with the app, also your device, the app version and the last error. Passwords and payment details are never sent.
  • Report a problem in the help also writes to your space, with the topic "Something in the app doesn't work".
  • The state shows where your conversation stands: Open, Answered, In progress or Done. All good, done closes it yourself. If you write again afterwards, it is open again.
  • Your space can also write to you itself, for example about an invoice, a payment or an application. The conversation then shows in your list as Message from and the name of your space, or with the thing it is about. You answer there like to any reply.
  • A reply or message from your space arrives as a notification on your phone. If it stays unread for 15 minutes, it also arrives by email. You switch both off under notifications with Messages from your space.
  • You can write as long as you have a contract, and up to 90 days after it ends.
  • If your contract is still waiting for confirmation, your space can already write to you, for example with a question about your application. The button then shows on your home screen; you read and answer there. A new message of your own is possible once your contract is confirmed. If the application is declined, the conversation stays readable for another 90 days.
  • If your space has switched messages off, you cannot start new ones. You then reach the space through the email address in the help. Conversations you started stay readable through the button.
  • A conversation is deleted two years after its last message.
