Crash reports only with your consent
The switch is off by default. With it off, no crash report leaves your device.
App
If the app crashes, it could send a report about it. It only does so if you switch that on.
- The switch is called Send crash reports and sits in Settings under Privacy.
- By default it is off. While it is off, no reporting component is started at all and no event leaves your device.
- The reports contain no names and no email addresses.
- They go to a server in Germany owned by selfdesk, not to a third-party service.
- Reports that do arrive are deleted after 90 days.
- The web app has no error reporting at all.
The switch is independent of anything you send through Report a problem. That you send deliberately, and you see beforehand what goes with it.
